BWB Partners invests in Holmris Group
14. June 2017
BWB Partners has acquired 60% of the share capital in Holmris Group, Denmark’s leading supplier of furniture and interior design solutions for the professional market. Henrik Holmris, Niels Henrik Lauritzen as well as other members of the Group management continue to control the remaining 40% of the share capital.
Holmris Group’s revenue has increased more than tenfold over the most recent five-year period – from DKK 60 million in 2011 to DKK 678 million in 2016. In 2017, Holmris Group expects organic growth of 15-20%.
“With stronger ownership, we will be better equipped to continue the growth and strengthen the international expansion,” said CEO Henrik Holmris, who is the third generation in Holmris Group.
The high growth rate has been realized by transforming Holmris from an innovative manufacturing company to a sales and design house focused on furniture and interior design solutions targeting four market segments: Office, Education, Care and Hospitality. During the last 5 years, Holmris Group has acquired or developed a series of design, logistic and service solutions that have transformed Holmris into one of Scandinavia’s fastest-growing players in the furniture industry. One example is sales and recycling of used office furniture as well as new technology and service solutions that support customers’ furniture decoration in an environmentally friendly manner.
In the last 5 years, exports have increased to more than DKK 100 million. Going forward growth is expected to come from neighboring markets and the US.
“We see great potential in exporting our modern Scandinavian design solutions for offices, educational institutions and hotels. In Denmark we have, among other things, been familiar with height adjustable desks and modern office decoration for many years, and are several years ahead of markets like Germany, the UK and the US. With BWB Partners we will have a co-owner that is able to add capital and expertise to support the international expansion,” said CEO Niels Henrik Lauritzen, Holmris Group.
“Holmris has realized growth rates that are seldom seen in a mature market. They have succeeded in developing system solutions and constantly adapting to customer needs. We are looking forward to continuing the company’s development in partnership with the executive management and employees,” said Partner Jesper Wadum Nielsen, BWB Partners.
Henrik Holmris and Niels Henrik Lauritzen continue as executive management of Holmris Group. Incoming Chairman is John Dueholm.
The parties have agreed not to disclose the acquisition price.
